I have always been in love with color. Since I am in business and earn my keep creating and selling my paintings, I do have to be aware of trends in color and design and work with those, but my first love is color. Since the days are cold and gloomy I have found a need for that love and it has seen a resurgence on my canvas. This latest series has more of an expressionist feel to them. The freedom of the application of the paint is well… freeing. Listening to music can be helpful too when you let it help drive the painting. Listen and move. With this painting, Pandora had a mix of Latin and salsa that can get your painting arm and feet going.
To see many of the paint colors I use go to the “see more” section on any of my YouTube demos. You can get them at http://www.amazon.com or http://www.dickblick.com

beautiful! Pandora moves me too when I’m painting. Thanks for sharing with us 🙂
I thank you for visiting and for your comment, Debbie. Happy painting!
I stand in front of af blank canvas and then it’s now what but it comes and it comes and so forth but I do need to know is the scale and size of the piece add the drama that’s needed to be felt by the onlooker
Thanks for visiting my blog. I’m not quite sure what you are asking. This piece is 36×36. I feel the impact of the painting lies with the form and placement of one color against another.
