I forgot I had these! While rummaging around the studio a few weeks ago a came across these water based art crayons, that’s what I call them. There are a number of companies that make them. Below is a photo of the ones I have. The fat wood ones on the lid are from Stabilo. The only place I could find an array of them was on Amazon. I didn’t have too many of the Stabilo and figured I needed more. Who doesn’t need more art supplies?
What I like about using them is that you can just make marks here and there, let the strokes show, or use a dampened brush to blend. I will post a YouTube video of this painting soon so watch for the process. In the meantime here are some detail photos.
