I Had a Goal

A few weeks ago I was called off the waitlist for the La Quinta Art Celebration in La Quinta, Ca.  For those of you who don’t  know, this is kind of a big deal show in Southern California.  It is  located east of Palm Springs in a beautiful park-like setting.  I’ve been working like a mad woman getting ready for it.  It’s a difficult event to setup and do and there are lots of things to remember to do before and to remember to take.

I want to have a variety of sizes and price points for buyers so I set a goal of creating an additional 30 small 6×6 paintings in order to fulfill the lower end of the pricing. I did it!  I met my goal and am happy with the results!

Not only do I have to take 10+ photos of each painting, because the online sites want that, but have to put them into the computer, tweak them, and upload to the various sites. Lots of time involved.  I’m going to wait on the uploading part because I don’t know what will sell and it will save the anxiety of removing them from the sites in a timely manner.

This is part of my photo setup and a sample of some of the different photo views.

Yes Karen I have seen many of them. Do they reflect what you see in your everyday life or are they your own imagination?

Some of my paintings are inspired by photos I take but most just come out of my head.
