Working all the time makes for a lot of stock. Some I like and some, after looking at them for awhile, are just ho-hum to my eye. Depending on how I see them, they will either go on display at a show, on my online sites, or sit in the studio. The good thing about taking a second look and deciding to give the piece a new look is that much of the work is already done. There is a nice underpainting that can be built on. “Revival”, which is shown above, is one that was reinvented from a mostly red painting called “Red Fusion”. Below is the original painting, some close-ups of the new version and a YouTube video that I posted recently showing the process.
“Red Fusion” the original painting that became the base for the new one.
I really enjoyed watching you rework the painting–very inspiring, as always!
Thanks for dropping by, Debbie.
