I was cleaning my palette the other day, scraping and wiping, scraping and wiping, when I noticed a design forming and thought, “Wow, here is a painting in the making!” I snapped a couple of photos with my phone so I wouldn’t forget. One little swipe made a big difference in what I was seeing so I kept on swiping. I find it so much fun and enlightening to see things in a new way and then translate that image into a painting. I’m planning to use this concept in a piece soon. I thought the following quote was appropriate.
“By looking at only one place, you miss everything in all the other places! Look everywhere to see everything!”
