I am part of a French Gallery that caters to the tourist trade in 35 galleries worldwide. They focus on 4 small sizes of work that they then mat and put into a glassine sleeve. The work is displayed in bins for each artist. The client can purchase as is or have the artwork framed and shipped if needed. The gallery decided to send back quite a few paintings that I did on canvas and have me make some new pieces. In the meantime, I had to figure out what to do with the returned paintings. They are too small to stretch so the decision was made to mount them on white mat board, in standard frame sizes.
I’ve recently made a new page on my website to showcase what I have on hand. The photo above shows a piece framed, in a client’s home. It’s a little different approach but I think it works well.
Here is a photo of a piece framed and then some that are available on my website. All artwork is original on canvas and include, abstracts, florals, and landscapes.
The page is called “Frame-ables”
